Terms of Service for the use of Storyboarder.ai
These Terms of Service govern the use of the SaaS tool “Storyboarder.ai,” developed and operated by The FilmAI GmbH, Drehbrückenstraße 5-11, 44147 Dortmund, Germany. By using the tool, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The tool provides users with access to a web-based interface to create projects, upload scripts, and generate AI-powered images for shots. The provider does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, availability, or uninterrupted functionality of the tool. Liability is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence.
Access to Storyboarder.ai is granted upon conclusion of a paid contract or activation of a free plan. The tool is authorized for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to the user’s subscription tier. Users must comply with all applicable laws.

Users must conclude a paid contract by selecting a subscription plan and providing valid payment information. Automatic billing begins upon account creation and recurs at each renewal period until the subscription is canceled.

We offer a free plan to help users evaluate compatibility before committing to a paid subscription.
The statutory right of withdrawal expires once service performance begins and the user has expressly consented to the commencement of services before the withdrawal period ends, thereby acknowledging the loss of withdrawal rights.
The FilmAI GmbH retains all intellectual property rights to the Storyboarder.ai platform, including its software, design, and documentation. Users do not acquire any ownership of the provider’s intellectual property through use of the tool.
Users may use content generated through the tool for their own purposes. Reproduction, modification, or creation of derivative works based on the tool itself is not permitted without prior written authorization.
You own your User Content. By using Storyboarder.ai, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to operate, provide, improve, troubleshoot, protect, and customize the tool.
Specifically:
Users must be at least 18 years old and must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy at all times. Users are solely responsible for the content they upload and must hold all necessary rights to that content.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and must promptly report any unauthorized access to info@storyboarder.ai. Users agree to indemnify the provider against any third-party claims arising from uploaded content.
To ensure a fair experience for all users, the following monthly fair-use limits apply to image generations and rerolls:
For Image-to-Video generation, up to 600 video generations per month is considered standard usage across all plans.
When a fair-use limit is reached, the account will be temporarily paused while our team conducts a brief review. If everything checks out, your account will be reactivated promptly.
Users with higher usage needs can reach out to our team for custom pricing on Video Add-On packages tailored to their production requirements.
Users must ensure that AI-generated content does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or individual rights when published or used commercially. Users must also ensure that any explicit or violent content complies with applicable legal standards before publication.
Users agree to indemnify Storyboarder.ai against any claims arising from misuse. Violations may result in account suspension or termination without notice.
Storyboarder.ai reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts in the following cases:
We will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data, except in cases of material breach or where doing so would expose us to legal liability.
Storyboarder.ai may add or remove features at any time. In the event of discontinuation of the tool, we will provide reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to download your stored content.
Paid subscribers acknowledge that Storyboarder.ai may display their company name and logo on its website, limited to statements such as “Trusted by users from companies like:”. Companies may request removal by contacting us within 14 business days.
Users agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the tool. The tool may auto-update to ensure users always have access to the latest version.
Storyboarder.ai is not responsible for any third-party websites or services that may be linked from within the platform.
Products or features marked as “beta,” “preview,” “early access,” or “evaluation” may be less reliable and less thoroughly tested than generally available features. Usage data from beta features may be logged for improvement purposes.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORYBOARDER.AI AND ITS AFFILIATES EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE TOOL. THE TOOL IS PROVIDED “AS IS,” “WHERE IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.”
IN NO EVENT SHALL STORYBOARDER.AI OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY AMOUNT IN EXCESS OF THE FEES YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT SHALL STORYBOARDER.AI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
The tool is based on third-party APIs and AI models. The provider does not warrant the accuracy, quality, or completeness of any AI-generated output.
Before initiating formal proceedings, users must attempt informal resolution by contacting info@storyboarder.ai. If a dispute is not resolved within 60 days, formal proceedings may be commenced. All disputes shall be handled in the competent German federal or state courts.
The collection and processing of personal data complies with applicable data protection laws. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Storyboarder.ai and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be substituted with a valid provision that reflects the original intent as closely as possible. Users may not assign their rights under these Terms. Storyboarder.ai may assign its rights to affiliates or successors.
German law applies exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For merchants and public entities, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of The FilmAI GmbH in Dortmund, Germany.
Material amendments to these Terms require at least 30 days’ notice via email or in-product notification. Users who do not agree with the changes may cancel their subscription before the changes take effect and will receive a prorated refund for the remaining period.
